Strategies for Finding New Jobs

If you work for someone else then it is important that you’ve speculation that how long your job is going to last up, for temporary employment it can end at any time, so you need to prepared to go on Job-hunting in advance when you start feeling that your organization is no more interested to keep you longer. If you respond to different job ads and send your resume everywhere and nothing works out, change your strategies for finding a new jobs, here are few guidelines that can help you to find a suitable job.

1. Consult to Successful Job Placement Service; Before you contact a job placement service talk to them, know what they did, ask for references, discuss how fast they hunt jobs for you. Contact your friends and acquaintances that have found a job through them.

2. Prepared financially & mentally; You must be financially and mentally prepared for job hunt that can last longer, if you are looking for higher salary this will take months to find a employer. Keep fund for traveling and staying to other location for interviews.

3. Be Versatile; This is not necessary that you may get same job that you enjoyed last, open for different kind of work that are more challenging in this changing world. Open for new jobs opportunity that you think can do successfully.

4. Social Networking; Join social networking of like minded social group like ryze, linkedin, etc and spread out through networking and go for informational interviewing contacting other group of members. You will find people of higher positions are networking there and often interested to hire a person those who are recommended through these net worker, you can even contact them for particular job that you are looking for.

5. Offline contact; Contact your family friends, University alumni, former co-workers and other people as a resource and take them to a coffee shop for together coffee and discuss briefly about particular organization they are associated and what jobs are available.

6. Telephonic interview; Be prepared for telephonic interview, mention the time in your CV that most suitable for you to respond to telephonic interview. Open the speaker of your mobile phone during interview so that you can listen carefully what an interviewer is asking you and accordingly you should be able to answer to the point.

7. Keep the search open: Don’t restrict your search to one favorite place for job hunting, be open for manifolds like different industries such as pharmaceuticals, Consumers product, luxuries product service, travels, entertainment and other field. Also open for smaller organizations when you find no one bigger companies are hiring.

8. Approach to Inside Manager; If you know someone inside the company or get any reference try to consult the respective manager through phone call, briefly describe your greatest personal strength and your top skills. If they have no such opening ask them for a reference or they know of anyone else who might be hiring someone with your experience.
9. Effective Resume; Prepare your resume highlighting your achievement and add points that can highlight like this in heading “Top-performing International Sales & Marketing Manager with more than 15 years experience in diverse environments. Highly motivated professional recognized for exceeding organizational/administrative goals utilizing solid communication and interpersonal and team-building skills” and add your cover letter which end like this “I would appreciate the opportunity to show you how I can help your organization meet its goal and strategic growth plan”. Send your resume to your prospective employers through mail followed by a printed resume and further follow up by making a phone call, this will make the organization that you are really interested.

10. Don’t we wearied by rejection; Don’t be dishearten if you get “No” from all side, remember the more NO you get out of the way you are being closer to YES..
